We’re into the final week of our FanQuest Kickstarter campaign, and I thought now would be a good time (better late than never!) to outline all the different ways you can buy your FanQuest tickets or tables before the February 6th deadline. While the payment methods may seem limited, we want you to be able to help make FanQuest awesome! So here are a few options for you:
Directly to Kickstarter via Mastercard or Visa
This is pretty straightforward, simply sign up for a Kickstarter account, search for FanQuest and make a donation at your desired reward level using your own credit card. Kickstarter will automatically record your payment and issue you a receipt. Once the campaign is over, we will contact you regarding your reward.
Ask a friend or family member to use their credit card
If you don’t have your own credit card, you can ask a friend or family member to help. Just give them the money you wish do donate and have them make the payment. You can add a note on the Kickstarter payment indicating that the reward is for you, not for the cardholder.
Pre-paid credit card
If you don’t have your own credit card, you can purchase a pre-paid Visa or Mastercard at your local grocery or convenience store. Kickstarter does accept payment from these cards, as long as the balance of the card is at least $1 more than the payment amount. So if you want to buy a $25 weekend pass, your pre-paid credit card must have a balance of at least $26 for the payment to go through.
If you are not able to donate to our Kickstarter through any of these means, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll work with you to determine the best way for you to contribute to the awesomeness of FanQuest.
Just six days left in the campaign, we can do this Manitoba!
Dan got up real early to speak with CTV’s Rahim Ladhani about FanQuest. Take a look…

If you were watching our Facebook page last Friday afternoon, you’d have seen the hastily put together live stream in which Dan announced our venue – The University of Winnipeg! Here’s the video we wanted to post then, but couldn’t because Dark Forces prevented the…files from uploading. Enjoy!
No video update this week, just a plain old-fashioned blog post. We will be back with another awesome video next week when we announce the venue for FanQuest! More on that later. First, let’s take a look at our current numbers:
We are currently 14% funded with 37 days left in the campaign. That’s amazing! Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed so far, we couldn’t do this without you… Read more
We mash up our favourite fandoms in a holiday greeting video which ends with our date announcement.
In our first Kickstarter update video, we answer questions and concerns voiced by some of our followers on social media.
Be sure to check back next week, we will be announcing the actual dates of FanQuest 2017!
We want FanQuest to be the best fan convention experience ever, but we can’t do it alone. Head over to our Kickstarter page to find out how you can help.
